The majority of travel advisors are compensated by suppliers — such as hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and airlines — through commissions. This allows you to access their expertise, insider knowledge, and personalized planning without incurring additional costs. Some travel professionals may also charge a planning or service fee for custom travel planning, which covers the time, research, and expertise involved in delivering a seamless, luxury travel experience. At Springboard Vacations, our mission is to ensure your journey is flawlessly planned, tailored to your interests, and worth every moment, while you benefit from our experience, connections, and peace of mind — all without extra costs unless a service fee is disclosed upfront. How the Process Works Working with a travel professional is simple, personalized, and stress-free. Here’s how it typically works: Initial Consultation – We begin by understanding you, your travel style, interests, and goals. This can be conducted via phone, video call, or email. Custom Itinerary Design – Leveraging our expertise and insider knowledge, we craft a tailor-made vacation itinerary that includes accommodations, activities, transportation, and unique experiences designed specifically for you. Review & Refinement – You review the itinerary, provide feedback, and we refine every detail until it’s perfect. Booking & Confirmation – Once approved and a deposit paid (30% of the total), we handle all aspects of your bookings — flights, hotels, tours, transfers, and special experiences — ensuring everything remains seamless and stress-free. Ongoing Support – From departure to return, we are available to answer questions, provide updates, and manage any changes or emergencies. We maintain a local office in each of our destinations for assistance 24/7. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
