DAY TWO - WELCOME TO AITUTAKI!
The hook-shaped atoll of Aitutaki, the second most visited by tourists, sits at the top of one of the world’s largest coral lagoons, packed with giant clams and bright tropical fish, and ringed by smaller uninhabited islets, known as motu, around its outer edges. But don’t plan on doing too much. Time, like most other things in the Cook Islands, has a mind of its own. Days roll by with the island tides: one morning you’ll be exploring taro plantations, swimming in underground caves and dancing till dawn with the locals, and the next, a plane will be waiting to take you home. Make the most of it while you can – paradise is a pretty tough place to find.

The Rocks Dreaming tour is 100 per cent Aboriginal owned and was developed by Margret Campbell, a Dunghutti-Jerrinjah woman, and is led by Aboriginal guides who have her permission to share her cultural knowledge. The tour gives you the opportunity to discover how the ancient Aboriginal dreaming is still alive within the modern Sydney landscape and how the billion-year-old harbour, marine environment, sandstone strata, waterways, flora and fauna influenced how Aboriginal people lived in the area.

DAY TWELVE - GREAT BARRIER REEF SAILING
This morning you'll take a luxury day cruise to the Great Barrier Reef on a sailing catamaran carrying a maximum of twelve pampered guests. Sail to Tongue, Chinaman or Rudder Reef. The Skipper will choose the best location according to the conditions on the day to maximize your experience. Enjoy the leisurely 2 hour sail to the Great Barrier Reef and over three and a half hours at one spectacular reef. Includes morning and afternoon teas, gourmet lunch on board, use of all snorkeling equipment and tuition and Environmental Management Charge.
DAY THIRTEEN - ABORIGINAL DAINTREE DREAMING TOUR
Experience this region’s rich Aboriginal history and culture on this exclusive day tour adventure. You'll be picked up fom your hotel and travel to Cooya Beach. (Kuku Kuku) This special place is a traditional fishing ground of the Kuku Yalanji people and three diverse ecosystems-beach, mangroves and coastal reef. Here one of the Kubirri Warra brothers of Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tours will teach you how to throw a spear and other Aboriginal hunting techniques. Walk with the brothers on their traditional lands as you learn how to track and hunt for fish, mud crabs, mussels through the mangroves. Search and try bush tucker and bush medicines.
We then travel further north to Silky Oaks Lodge for a delicious lunch overlooking the Mossman River and Rainforest. Continuing north to the quaint Daintree Village in the rainforest we follow the Daintree River to Tranquility on the Daintree – a secluded 450 acre private property. The Niau Falls are a pristine natural wonder, and your guided rainforest walk will unlock the secrets of this fascinating ecosystem. There’s time for a swim in this magical rainforest environment before heading south to Mossman and Janball Aboriginal Art Gallery and meet with artist in residence Binna who is your tutor today as you share in an authentic Aboriginal Art experience. Aboriginal art and craft are on display that depict the reef and rainforest of the Kuku Yulanji people. Your day of discovery comes to a close and you are returned to your accommodation.
